A Waywood Staircase

We are always keen to take on projects which are a bit different or outside the scope of strictly furniture. Projects have included a bridge, a doll's house, various kitchens and, recently, a spiral staircase.

This staircase is made mainly of ash, with ipe treads. Ipe (which we get FSC Certified [11]) is an immensely hard and stiff wood - horrible to work with, but had both the perfect colour and physical properties for the job.
